I offer a service making fitted or free standing furniture for any situation in the house office or workplace. My objective is to meet the requirements of clients. Timbers used are of the highest quality and therefore cost more than that available at the local timber merchant or B&Q. The softwood that I use is siberian pine a slow growing and relatively knot free softwood. For a striking grain effect and stability I also use South Carolina Yellow Pine. Regarding hardwoods I prefer working in Ash or Oak. I can obtain tropical hardwoods but i prefer not to contribute to the cutting down of the tropical forests. Where it makes economical sense I incorporate MDF particularly in units to be painted. Rather than buy inexpensive veneered boards I select veneers and veneer articles myself.
